January 2, 2014: During the year 2013 the "Gute Nachrichten" website had 256,688 visitors, 5.7 percent more than in 2012.

January 9, 2014: For the year 2013 the Vereinte Kirche Gottes ["UCG-Germany"] distributed a total of 59,782 publications in the German language. The booklets requested most often were "Nach dem Tode – was dann?" ["What happens after death?], "Jesus Christus: Die wahre Geschichte" ["Jesus Christ: The true story"] and "Das Reich Gottes – eine gute Nachricht" ["The Gospel of the Kingdom"].

January 13, 2014: Gute Nachrichten, January 2014 issue The January-February issue of the "Gute Nachrichten" magazine is mailed to 8559 readers in 17 European countries. This issue's circulation is a 5.1 percent increase over the January 2013 issue. The January issue was mailed to 7231 subscribers in Germany, 627 subscribers in Switzerland and 596 subscribers in Austria.

January 21, 2014: In the last four months of 2013 UCG-Germany distributed 881 ebooks via Smashwords, including 514 downloads via the Apple store. In December 2013 50 ebooks were distributed via Amazon, including 42 downloads of the booklet "Das Buch der Offenbarung verständlich erklärt" ["The Book of Revelation Unveiled"].

January 28, 2014: Dutch Bible Study Course, Lesson 1 The Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] provides typesetting assistance to help complete lesson 2 of the Dutch-language Bible Study Course, to be published by the United Church of God-Netherlands. Final typesetting assistance will be provided for the other 10 lessons yet to be completed.

February 7, 2014: With the circulation of the "Gute Nachrichten" magazine limited during the year 2014 for budgetary reasons to 8500 subscribers, the first renewal of the year was mailed to subscribers to reduce the circulation to the budget target.

February 14, 2014: The Vereinte Kirche Gottes ["United Church of God-Germany"] produces its first "Beyond Today" telecast in German, German Beyond Today telecast Die Apokalyptischen Reiter der Offenbarung ["The Four Horsemen of Revelation"]. A volunteer team translated the original English text and the scripture images, provided the German voices for the three "Beyond Today" speakers and dubbed the audio.

February 21, 2014: The Vereinte Kirche Gottes ["United Church of God-Germany"] creates it own Youtube video channel with a unique url. Production plans call for sermon videos in German and four "Beyond Today" telecasts a year.

February 28, 2014: Dutch Bible Study Course, Lesson 3 The Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] provides typesetting assistance to help complete lesson 3 of the Dutch-language Bible Study Course, to be published by the United Church of God-Netherlands. Final typesetting assistance will be provided for the other 9 lessons yet to be completed.

March 3, 2014: Donation income for the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] for the first two months of 2014 was 6.6 percent higher than in January-February 2013. Coworkers and donors (defined as individuals who provide financial support but do not attend UCG-Germany worship services) contributed 14.5 percent of UCG-Germany's income in January and 10.6 percent in February.

March 8, 2014: 13 visitors attended today's "Open House" church service of the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] in Dormagen. The "Open House" was advertised via the "Gute Nachrichten" magazine and an invitational letter sent to subscribers.

March 14, 2014: The March-April issue Gute Nachrichten, March 2014 issue of the "Gute Nachrichten" magazine is mailed to 8544 readers in 17 European countries. This issue's circulation is a 3.9 percent increase over the March 2013 issue. The March issue was mailed to 7190 subscribers in Germany, 643 subscribers in Switzerland and 609 subscribers in Austria.

March 22, 2014: 8 visitors attended today's "Open House" church service of the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] in Munich. The "Open House" was advertised via the "Gute Nachrichten" magazine and an invitational letter sent to subscribers.

March 28, 2014: The online bookstore "Amazon.de" has eliminated the price for the ebook "Das Buch der Offenbarung verständlich erklärt" ["The Book of Revelation Unveiled"], making it free of charge. Amazon was made aware of the booklet being available free of charge on another website.

April 7, 2014: United Christian Outreach Germany announces a special fundraiser to provide $1000 for Armenien UCG member Mnazakan Poghossjan to attend this year's Feast of Tabernacles in Schluchsee, Germany.

April 16, 2014: 96 people met at six locations to keep the Passover on April 13th. On the first day of Unleavened Bread, 127 people attended services in six locations: Dormagen (28), Hamburg (17), Mühldorf (20), Plauen (10), Schriesheim (22) and Winterthur in Switzerland (30). The offering was 9151 €, which was 20.4% lower than last year's offering.

April 22, 2014: On the last day of the Feast Unleavened Bread, 104 people attended services in five locations: Dormagen (28), Hamburg (10), Munich (16), Schriesheim (24) and Winterthur in Switzerland (28). The offering (11,593 €) was 44% higher than in 2013.

April 30, 2014: Donation income for the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] for the first four months of 2014 was 9 percent lower than in January-April 2013. Coworkers and donors (defined as individuals who provide financial support but do not attend UCG-Germany worship services) contributed 14.4 percent of UCG-Germany's income in January-April 2014.

May 5, 2014: In the first four months of 2014 the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] distributed 1637 ebooks via online bookstores (Apple, Amazon etc.). The ebook "Das Buch der Offenbarung verständlich erklärt" ["The book of Revelation Unveiled"] was downloaded 460 times.

May 10, 2014: 11 visitors attended today's "Open House" church service of the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] in Winterthur, Switzerland. The "Open House" was advertised via the "Gute Nachrichten" magazine and an invitational letter sent to subscribers.

May 17, 2014: 7 visitors attended today's "Open House" church service of the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] in Mörfelden (near Frankfurt), and 17 visitors were present for the "Open House" service in Hamburg, Germany. The "Open House" was advertised via the "Gute Nachrichten" magazine and an invitational letter sent to subscribers.

May 23, 2014: Gute Nachrichten, May 2014 issue The May-June issue of the "Gute Nachrichten" magazine is mailed to 8622 readers in 17 European countries, representing a 4.3 percent increase over the May 2013 issue. The May issue was mailed to 7265 subscribers in Germany, 638 subscribers in Switzerland and 621 subscribers in Austria.

May 31, 2014: With strong donation income for the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] in the month of May (+24.6%), income for the first five months of 2014 improved to be 3.7 percent lower than in January-May 2014. Coworkers and donors (defined as individuals who provide financial support but do not attend UCG-Germany worship services) contributed 14.6 percent of UCG-Germany's income in January-May 2014.

June 8, 2014: 147 people met in six locations in the German-language region on Pentecost weekend. 31 people met in Dormagen, and the other locations were Berlin (9), Hamburg (11), Munich (27), Plauen (9), Schriesheim (21) and Winterthur in Switzerland (39). The offering in the German-language region was 9430 €, a 16.2 percent increase in comparison to last year's offering. The offering for the 3 spring Holy Days (Unleavened Bread, Pentecost) was 9.0 percent higher than last year.

June 16, 2014: United Christian Outreach Germany's special fundraiser to provide $1000 as festival assistance for Mnazakan Poghossjan to attend this year's Feast of Tabernacles in Schluchsee, Germany has reached 50 percent of its goal.

June 23, 2014: The Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] publishes the booklet "Gottes Festtage – der Plan Gottes für die Menschen ["God's Holy Day Plan"] ebook format. The booklet is now available in both the epub and mobi (Kindle) formats.

June 30, 2014: Donation income for the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] for the first six months of 2014 was 0.5 percent higher than in January-June 2013. Coworkers and donors (defined as individuals who provide financial support but do not attend UCG-Germany worship services) contributed 15.2 percent of UCG-Germany's income in January-June 2014.

July 7, 2014: The Vereinte Kirche Gottes Dutch Bible Study Course, Lesson 4 [UCG-Germany] provides typesetting assistance to help complete lesson 4 of the Dutch-language Bible Study Course, to be published by the United Church of God-Netherlands. Final typesetting assistance will be provided for the other 8 lessons yet to be completed.

July 10, 2014: In the first six months of 2014, the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] distributed 1852 booklets as ebooks via three distributors: 922 ebooks via Amazon, 247 ebooks via "Smashwords" and 683 ebooks via the Apple Store.

July 18, 2014: The Juli-August issue Gute Nachrichten, July 2014 issue of the "Gute Nachrichten" magazine is mailed to 8585 readers in 17 European countries, representing a 3.3 percent increase over the July 2013 issue. The July issue was mailed to 7226 subscribers in Germany, 638 subscribers in Switzerland and 621 subscribers in Austria.

July 25, 2014: The Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] has sold it first two booklets as ebooks via the Google Play Store. Because of German book price regulations, the ebooks have to be offered at a minimum price.

July 31, 2014: Donation income for the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] in the month of July was 8 percent lower than in July 2013. Coworkers and donors (defined as individuals who provide financial support but do not attend UCG-Germany worship services) contributed 11.1 percent of UCG-Germany's income in July.

August 7, 2014: The Vereinte Kirche Gottes Dutch Bible Study Course, Lesson 5 [UCG-Germany] provides typesetting assistance to help complete lesson 5 of the Dutch-language Bible Study Course, to be published by the United Church of God-Netherlands. Final typesetting assistance will be provided for the other 7 lessons yet to be completed.

August 13, 2014: The United Church of God announces plans to revise its English-language worship hymnal, prompting UCOG President Paul Kieffer to write the Council of Elders and church president concerning potential disparity with the German worship hymnal. Read more ».

August 21, 2014: The special United Christian Outreach Germany Fundraising thermometer fundraiser to provide $1000 as festival assistance for airfare, visa and lodging expenses for Mnazakan Poghossjan to attend this year's Feast of Tabernacles in Schluchsee, Germany is now fully funded. Mr. Poghassjan speaks fluent German and is the only member of the United Church of God in Armenia and has only limited income. Without additional financial assistance from the church, he would not be able to attend the Feast.

August 28, 2014: The Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] publishes the reprint booklet "Die apokalyptischen Reiter" ["The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse"] an an ebook. The booklet is now available in both the epub and mobi (Kindle) formats.

September 2, 2014: The Vereinte Kirche Gottes ["UCG-Germany"] provides Jesus Christ, Dutch version Vereinte Kirche Gottes ["UCG-Germany"] provides a final typesetting quality check to assist the United Church of God-Holland in publishing the new booklet "Jezus Christus: Het Ware Verhaal?" ["Jesus Christ: The Real Story"]. The Vereinte Kirche Gottes has provided typesetting assistance for 8 of the 9 booklets published by the United Church of God-Holland.

September 8, 2014: Donation income for the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] for the first eight months of 2014 was 1.6 percent lower than in January-August 2013. Coworkers and donors (defined as individuals who provide financial support but do not attend UCG-Germany worship services) contributed 13.9 percent of UCG-Germany's income in January-August 2014.

September 18, 2014:Gute Nachrichten, September 2014 issue The September-October issue of the "Gute Nachrichten" magazine is mailed to 8592 readers in 17 European countries, representing a 2.5 percent increase over the September 2013 issue. The September issue was mailed to 7226 subscribers in Germany, 647 subscribers in Switzerland and 621 subscribers in Austria.

September 25, 2014: 127 people met at five locations in the German-language region for church services today on the Feast of Trumpets. In Dormagen the attendance was 37. 24 people met in Schriesheim (near Heidelberg), and 28 were in attendance in Winterthur, Switzerland. In Munich the attendance was 22. 16 people attended the afternoon service in Hamburg.

October 3, 2014: The Vereinte Kirche Gottes Dutch Bible Study Course, Lesson 6 [UCG-Germany] provides typesetting assistance to help complete lesson 6 of the Dutch-language Bible Study Course, to be published by the United Church of God-Netherlands. Final typesetting assistance will be provided for the other 6 lessons yet to be completed.

October 10, 2014: 224 people from 14 countries meet in Schluchsee in the southern Black Forest to observe the biblical Feast of Tabernacles. Read more »

October 18, 2014: The offering statistics for the Feast of Tabernacles and Last Great Day in the German-language region have been finalized. The offering on the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles was 11,003 €, 22.4 percent less than last year. The offering (17,941 €) on the Last Great Day was 82.9 higher than 2013. The total offering on the seven annual Holy Days in 2014 was 11.7 percent more than last year.

October 25, 2014: The Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] has now had ebooks available for one full year. In this first year 3635 ebooks were downloaded via the distributors being utilized (Amazon, Apple Store, Google Play Store and Smashwords). In the same period 4393 printed booklets were ordered from the church office. Of the 25 booklets currently available in print (with the Bible Study Course being counted as one booklet), 15 are now available as ebooks. The savings in postage and printing costs by distributing ebooks in the first twelve months was approximately 7000 €.

November 3, 2014: Donation income for the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] for the first ten months of 2014 was 5.7 percent lower than in January-October 2013. Coworkers and donors (defined as individuals who provide financial support but do not attend UCG-Germany worship services) contributed 13.8 percent of UCG-Germany's income in January-August 2014.

November 10, 2014: Gute Nachrichten, November 2014 issue The November-December issue of the "Gute Nachrichten" magazine is mailed to 8510 readers in 17 European countries, representing a 0.7 percent increase over the November 2013 issue. The November issue was mailed to 7145 subscribers in Germany, 645 subscribers in Switzerland and 625 subscribers in Austria.

November 18, 2014: The three public proclamation websites (gutenachrichten.org, vkg.org and wegweiser.ws) maintained by the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] have been relocated and are now all being hosted by the same hosting service, providing easier administrative and web content management.

November 26, 2014: Dutch Bible Study Course, Lesson 7 The Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] provides typesetting assistance to help complete lesson 7 of the Dutch-language Bible Study Course, to be published by the United Church of God-Netherlands. Final typesetting assistance will be provided for the other 5 lessons yet to be completed.

December 5, 2014: The Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] has made arrangements to have the printer handling "Gute Nachrichten" distribution preparation in Germany also handle the mailing preparation for subscribers in Austria and Switzerland. In both cases – for Germany and the other two countries – the printer delivers the magazines, presorted and marked for delivery, to the Deutsche Post AG for mailing. Since envelopes will no longer be used for mailing to Austria and Switzerland, the savings on envelopes make the processing by the printer cost neutral.

December 15, 2014: Dutch Bible Study Course, Lesson 8 The Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] provides typesetting assistance to help complete lesson 8 of the Dutch-language Bible Study Course, to be published by the United Church of God-Netherlands. Final typesetting assistance will be provided for the other 4 lessons yet to be completed.

December 21, 2014: The UCG-Germany National Council approved the 2015 budget of 225,000 €. Income is projected to be 170,000 €, with the deficit being paid from cash reserves. The budget includes funds to increase circulation of the "Gute Nachrichten" magazine to 9,000 subscribers and to print one new booklet and reprint three current booklets.
