The state of the temple

During the Old Covenant period, God "dwelled" symbolically among the Israelites in the temple, in the rear room of the two rooms of the temple. It is interesting to note that the physical condition of the temple as God's dwelling place reflected the health of Israel's relationship to God. If the temple was in a state of disrepair, then Israel's relationship to God was not in the best condition, either. (more…)

We live in turbulent times. We are to battle every day until our Lord and Master Jesus Christ returns to this earth. In our personal battle we face a spirit world that affects our physical environment. At times we can lose hope when we consider the dimension of the battle we must fight in our Christian life. Pray for those in authority

In his first letter to Timothy the apostle Paul exhorts us to pray for other people, and it is apparent that he means people who are not of our faith: "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority" (1 Timothy 2:12).
