Sad News from Indianapolis

There was sad news from Indianapolis today about a recent visitor to Germany, Grace (Hopkins) Rothenbacher.

Grace (Hopkins) Rothenbacher and her son Joseph were recent visitors to Germany. Grace and Joseph Rothenbacher They attended church services in Dormagen (in the picture) and were later joined by husband and father Carl. Carl, Grace and Joseph visited family in different parts of Germany and were here for the start of the spring feast before returning home. Grace’s parents live about a 5 minute drive from my apartment. Thursday morning we received a sobering email from Carl with this message: "Grace Rothenbacher had a routine ultrasound on April 26 to determine the sex of our unborn baby, who was six months along. Unfortunately, the test revealed that the baby is dead. We had another test to confirm this. Grace will have labor induced to deliver the baby. Please remember us in your prayers." On Thursday I called Grace’s parents here to ask if we could help, and unfortunately I was the one who broke the news to them, since they had not heard yet. Our thoughts are with you at this time, Carl, Grace and family. Carl & Grace’s address is:

5021 Aspen Crest Lane
Indianapolis, Indiana 46254
