January 4, 2016: Donation income for the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] in 2015 was 23.5 percent higher than in 2015. Regular mail income was 25 percent higher, and Holy Day offerings increased by 16.1 percent. Coworkers and donors (defined as individuals who provide financial support but do not attend UCG-Germany worship services) contributed 19.8 percent of UCG-Germany's regular mail income in 2015.

January 11, 2016: During the year 2015 the "Gute Nachrichten" website had 269,973 visitors, 8.7 percent more than in 2014.

January 18, 2016: The Gute Nachrichten, January 2016 issue January-February issue of the "Gute Nachrichten" magazine is mailed to 8763 readers in 25 countries, a 2.8 percent increase over the 2015 January-February issue. The magazine was mailed to 7227 subscribers in Germany, 690 subscribers in Switzerland and 669 subscribers in Austria.

January 25, 2016: For the year 2015 the Vereinte Kirche Gottes ["UCG-Germany"] distributed a total of 61,497 print publications in the German language, 0.6 percent less than in 2015. The booklets requested most often were "Das Geheimnis Ihrer Existenz" ["What is Your Destiny?"], "Nach dem Tode – was dann?" ["What happens after death?"] and "Biblische Prophezeiung: Ein Blick in Ihre Zukunft?" ["You Can Understand Bible Prophecy"]. In addition, 3651 ebooks were downloaded from the Apple Store and Amazon. The booklet "Das Buch der Offenbarung verständlich erklärt" ["The Book of Revelation Unveiled"] was downloaded 428 times.

February 4, 2016: The Vereinte German Beyond Today telecast Kirche Gottes ["United Church of God-Germany"] produces its third "Beyond Today" telecast in German, Nahtoderfahrungen und die Bibel ["Near Death Experiences and the Bible"]. A volunteer team translated the original English text and the scripture images, provided the German voices for the three "Beyond Today" speakers and dubbed the audio.

February 11, 2016: The Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] adds 50 MP3 sermons to its sermon website for members and church attendees. 494 recorded sermons are currently available for listening and download.

February 18, 2016: The Vereinte German video sermon Kirche Gottes ["United Church of God-Germany"] produces another video sermon, Ist das Ihre letzte Antwort? ["Is that your final answer?"]. UCOG President Paul Kieffer gave the sermon in Hamburg.

February 29, 2016: Donation income for the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] for the first two months of 2016 was 3.9 percent higher than the same period last year. Coworkers and donors (defined as individuals who provide financial support but do not attend UCG-Germany worship services) contributed 17.9 percent of UCG-Germany's income in January and 14.2 percent in February.

March 7, 2016: The March-April issue Gute Nachrichten, March 2016 issue of the "Gute Nachrichten" magazine is mailed to 8840 readers in 25 countries, a 3.4 percent increase over the 2015 March-April issue. The magazine was mailed to 7288 subscribers in Germany, 690 subscribers in Switzerland and 669 subscribers in Austria. The cover page was produced in German with assistance from the United Church of God.

March 14, 2016: In the first two months of 2016 UCG-Germany distributed 698 ebooks via Amazon, the Google Play Store and Smashwords, including 325 downloads via the Apple store. The most requested booklet was "Das Buch der Offenbarung verständlich erklärt" ["The Book of Revelation Unveiled"] with 80 downloads.

March 21, 2016: The German video sermon Vereinte Kirche Gottes ["United Church of God-Germany"] produces another video sermon, Das zehnte Gebot ["The tenth commandment"]. UCOG President Paul Kieffer gave the sermon in Hamburg.

March 27, 2016: The Vereinte Kirche Gottes ["United Church of God-Germany"] has three speakers from Germany and Austria attend the Church Leadership Weekend being conducted near London by the United Church of God-British Isles.

April 2, 2016: The Vereinte Kirche Gottes ["United Church of God-Germany"] streams it first worship service as an internet video broadcast from today's church service in Oberndorf, Austria (near Salzburg). All services in Oberndorf will now be streamed live, and the video broadcast is available to church members.

April 17, 2016: At today's National Council meeting of the Vereinte Kirche Gottes ["United Church of God-Germany"], plans for this year's Feast of Tabernacles in Schluchsee were finalized with the selection of a musician for the dance evening and approval of the festival activity schedule.

April 24, 2016: 107 people met at seven locations to keep the Passover on April 21st. On the first day of Unleavened Bread, 140 people attended services in six locations: Dormagen (28), Hamburg (12), Mörfelden (30), Mühldorf (25), Plauen (7) and Winterthur in Switzerland (38). The offering was 13,344 €, which was 13.5% less than last year's offering.

April 30, 2016: On the last day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, 125 people attended services in six locations: Berlin (9), Dormagen (33), Hamburg (10), Mörfelden (21), Munich (25) and Winterthur in Switzerland (27). The offering (8517 €) was 15.6% higher than in 2015.

May 6, 2016: In March-April 2016 UCG-Germany distributed 433 ebooks via Amazon, the Google Play Store and Smashwords, including 194 downloads via the Apple store. The most requested booklet was "Das Buch der Offenbarung verständlich erklärt" ["The Book of Revelation Unveiled"].

May 13, 2016: The May-June issue Gute Nachrichten,  May 2016 issue of the "Gute Nachrichten" magazine is mailed to 8904 readers in 25 countries, a 3.4 percent increase over the 2015 May-June issue. The magazine was mailed to 7345 subscribers in Germany, 716 subscribers in Switzerland and 691 subscribers in Austria. The unique cover page was supplied by the United Church of God.

May 20, 2016: The number of coworkers and donors (defined as individuals who provide financial support but do not attend UCG-Germany worship services) now totals 102. Coworkers and donors receive a quarterly newsletter with information about UCG-Germany's efforts to preach the gospel in the German-language area.

May 27, 2016: How to Understand the Bible, German version The Vereinte Kirche Gottes ["UCG-Germany"] reprints the booklet "Schlüssel zum Verständnis der Bibel" ["How to Understand the Bible?"] for the third time since its original printing in 1999. For reprinting, the text of the booklet was adapted to the new German spelling rules and layout was adapted to the English version of the booklet. The cover was redone in German by UCG-Germany.

June 6, 2016: Donation income for the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] for the first five months of 2016 was 12 percent less than the same period last year. Coworkers and donors (defined as individuals who provide financial support but do not attend UCG-Germany worship services) contributed 17.3 percent of UCG-Germany's income in the first five months of the year.

June 13, 2016: 142 people met in seven locations in the German-language region on Pentecost weekend. 34 people met in Dormagen, and the other locations were Berlin (13), Hamburg (11), Mörfelden (29), Plauen (5), Rosenheim (23) and Winterthur in Switzerland (27). The offering in the German-language region was 9796 €, a 3.2 percent decrease in comparison to last year's offering. The offering for the 3 spring Holy Days (Unleavened Bread, Pentecost) was 3.8 percent less than last year.

June 21, 2016: UCOG President Paul Kieffer filmed two German-language "Beyond Today" telecasts at the Home Office of the United Church of God in Cincinnati, Ohio. They are the first "Beyond Today" telecasts produced directly in the German language. The recordings will be edited for release on YouTube by UCG-Germany.

June 27, 2016: German video sermon "Wir, die wir leben und übrig bleiben" The Vereinte Kirche Gottes ["United Church of God-Germany"] produces another video sermon, ["We who are alive and remain"]. UCOG President Paul Kieffer gave the sermon in Hamburg.

July 5, 2016: In May-June 2016 UCG-Germany distributed 426 ebooks via Amazon, the Google Play Store and Smashwords, including 156 downloads via the Apple store.

July 12, 2016: The July-August issue Gute Nachrichten, July 2016 issue of the "Gute Nachrichten" magazine is mailed to 8957 readers in 25 countries, a 3.9 percent increase over the 2015 July-August issue. The magazine was mailed to 7345 subscribers in Germany, 725 subscribers in Switzerland and 695 subscribers in Austria. The editorial commented on June's Brexit vote in the United Kingdom.

July 19, 2016: 341 people are now "followers" of UCG-Germany's Twitter messages, a 34 Prozent increase in one year.

July 26, 2016: Typesetting has been completed for the new booklet "Tools for Spiritual Growth" and the booklet has been sent to UCG-Germany's volunteer staff of proofreaders for final editing. The German title of the booklet will be determined via a member survey.

August 8, 2016: Donation income for the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] for the first seven months of 2016 was 8.2 percent less than the same period last year. Coworkers and donors (defined as individuals who provide financial support but do not attend UCG-Germany worship services) contributed 16.7 percent of UCG-Germany's income in the first seven months of the year.

August 15, 2016: The bi-monthly publication Intern ["United News" in German] was mailed to 725 subscribers. A circulation of 1,000 subscribers in Germany would qualify "Intern" for a special mailing rate and reduce mailing costs within Germany by 60 percent. "Intern" is being actively promoted to achieve this circulation goal.

August 24, 2016: The UCG-Germany editorial staff completed a 30 month project to proofread all previously posted ebooks available on the Gute Nachrichten website. The goal was to standardize certain wording styles in all published material and remove previously unnoticed extra characters inserted by the ebook software used to produce UCG-Germany's ebooks.

August 31, 2016: In July and August a total of 60,978 unique visitors were counted on the Gute Nachrichten website, an average of 983 visitors daily. In July and August the MP3 sermons posted to the website were downloaded 386 times.

September 6, 2016: In July-August 2016 UCG-Germany distributed 482 ebooks via Amazon, the Google Play Store and Smashwords, including 158 downloads via the Apple store. The most requested booklet was "Das Buch der Offenbarung verständlich erklärt" ["The Book of Revelation Unveiled"] with 96 downloads.

September 13, 2016: The September-October issue Gute Nachrichten, September 2016 issue of the "Gute Nachrichten" magazine is mailed to a record 9011 readers in 25 countries, a 4.5 percent increase over the 2015 September-Oktober issue. The magazine was mailed to 7420 subscribers in Germany, 741 subscribers in Switzerland and 695 subscribers in Austria. The issue included a full page ad for "Open House" services in November.

September 21, 2016: The Vereinte Kirche Gottes ["United Church of God-Germany"] produces its fourth German-language "Beyond Today" telecast, German Beyond Today telecast Ist Gott eine Dreieinigkeit? ["Is God a Trinity"]. UCOG President Paul Kieffer recorded the telecast at the United Church of God Home Office in Cincinnati and UCG-Germany did the film editing.

September 30, 2016: Donation income for the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] for the first nine months of 2016 was 6.4 percent higher than the same period last year. Coworkers and donors (defined as individuals who provide financial support but do not attend UCG-Germany worship services) contributed 14.6 percent of UCG-Germany's income in the first nine months of the year.

October 3, 2016: 132 people met at six locations in the German-language region for church services today on the Feast of Trumpets. 10 people met for services in Berlin. In Dormagen the attendance was 41. 22 people met in Mörfelden (near Frankfurt), and 25 were in attendance in Winterthur, Switzerland. In Rosenheim the attendance was 24. 10 people attended the afternoon service in Hamburg.

October 12, 2016: 88 people met at four locations in the German-language region for church services today on the Day of Atonement. In Dormagen the attendance was 31. 23 people met in Mörfelden (near Frankfurt), and 17 were in attendance Munich. In Winterthur, Switzerland the attendance was also 17.

October 17, 2016: 210 people from 8 countries meet in Schluchsee in the southern Black Forest to observe the biblical Feast of Tabernacles. Read more »

October 31, 2016: The offering statistics for the Feast of Tabernacles and Last Great Day in the German-language region have been finalized. The offering on the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles was 10,672 €, 38.1 percent more than last year. The offering (10,120 €) on the Last Great Day was 22.9 less than 2015. The total offering on the seven annual Holy Days in 2016 was 15 percent less than last year.

November 5, 2016: The Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] hosts another round of "Open House" church services. The "Open House" service was advertised via the "Gute Nachrichten" magazine. 4 visitors attended services in Munich, 3 were present in Oberndorf near Salzburg, Austria, 1 person attended in Winterthur, Switzerland and 5 visitors came to the "Open House" service in Mörfelden.

November 11, 2016: The November-December issue Gute Nachrichten, November 2016 issue of the "Gute Nachrichten" magazine is mailed to a record 9123 readers, a 5.4 percent increase over the 2015 November-December issue. The magazine was mailed to 7509 subscribers in Germany, 751 subscribers in Switzerland and 705 subscribers in Austria. There are also subscribers in 22 other countries, mainly in Europe, but also in North and South America.

November 19, 2016: 7 visitors attended today's "Open House" church service of the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] in Dormagen near Cologne. The "Open House" was advertised via the "Gute Nachrichten" and "Intern" magazines.

November 28, 2016: The UCG-Germany National Council approved budget for 2017 includes total expenses of 258,000 €. Income is projected to be 210,000 €, with the deficit being paid from cash reserves. The budget provides funds to increase circulation of the "Gute Nachrichten" magazine to 10,000 subscribers and to print one new booklet and reprint four current booklets.

December 2, 2016: Donation income for the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] for the period January-November 2016 declined by 14.5 percent compared to same period last year. Coworkers and donors (defined as individuals who provide financial support but do not attend UCG-Germany worship services) contributed 14.3 percent of UCG-Germany's income in the first eleven months of the year.

December 9, 2016: In October and November the MP3 sermons posted to the Gute Nachrichten website were downloaded 371 times. 3 sermons are available for public access and a new sermon is posted each week.

December 21, 2016: At the end of the year, 18 ebooks produced by the Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] are available in the Apple iTunes store, the Google Play Store, via the ebook distributor Smashwords, the European ebook distributor Xinxii and German ebook distributors Thalia, bücher.de and Weltbild. 24 booklets are available in print, as well as all 12 lessons of the Bible Study Course.

December 28, 2016: The Vereinte Kirche Gottes [UCG-Germany] now has 15 video sermons, 4 "Beyond Today" videos and a festival video available on its YouTube channel. The videos have been viewed 22,957 times, including 10,962 views for the "Beyond Today" telecast on the four horsemen of the apocalypse.
