International Relationship

Yesterday we had another international meeting of sorts, this time in Belgium – a wedding!

Jako Kasper and Claire Michelson were married yesterday Jako and Claire Kasper at the Kasper summer residence just inside Belgium near the Belgian-German border. Jako is the second of three brothers and a student at the University of Bonn. His wife Claire is originally from New Zealand, but has worked the last couple of years in the London area. Her parents, sister and brother were present for the ceremony, as well as Jako’s grandparents and a number of school and church friends. The wedding was an outdoor affair, which can be a challenge in mid-September, but Jako and Claire were blessed with a sunny Sunday afternoon. Everyone arrived around 2 p.m., and then the ceremony was at 3 p.m. Afterwards we had drinks, and then dinner was served at 5 p.m., including the usual round of speeches, started off by Claire’s dad. The meal was in a special tent that the Kaspers had set up for the event, with one side open. It was nicely decorated with small branches and foliage. It was a delightful setting for Jako and Claire, who will in Schluchsee for this year’s Feast of Tabernacles.
